We are ending our style series on a bright note, so colorful in fact you will feel like you are tasting the rainbow. Super style sans the sugar rush is coming from pigmented pieces via Sweet Nicholas boutique. We all know how practical and convenient a whimsical dress can be in the summer months, and one in a solid shade can channel so many looks throughout the season. Check out how our girls took the streets and displayed three different ways to wear a frock that rocks:
Lynda
Keeping it classic and color-coded Lynda’s look is perfect for her petite size and slew of occasions that will arise in her social calendar. This dress has an ideal cut for extra hot days, pairing Jimmy Choo mules {from Midtown Authentic} in the same color family not only amplifies the electricity of this piece it also gives her an elongated appearance.
A desert gypsy, or a girl just trying to catch the 126 a maxi dress will go to great lengths for the wearer who has gams that are equally so. Long and lean, Jillian shows how a pair of metallic sandals, a beaded headband and a one of a kind bangle {elegant accessories from Maxwell’s 9.13.34} truly create a look that is bohemian intertwined with a touch of modern magic.

If you fall somewhere in between, height or style wise, a high-low dress might be the perfect choice. It’s sexy-on-the-sly silhouette saunters effortlessly with a bit of wind, while still being an excellent choice in 8,000 degree temperatures. The brilliance of this hue is elevated to another era with an exquisite opera length necklace in jade from where else but Maxwell’s 9.13.34?

It was such a pleasure doing this shoot (via my photography business Jennifer Casson Photography in collaboration with Hoboken/NYC Stylist Tiffany Pinero). It was our goal to showcase some fabulous Hoboken ladies + the beautiful local fashion and boutiques in an effort to “keep the charm” in the Mile Square. While there are dozens of clothing and accessories stores filling malls across New Jersey, there aren’t many places in the area where you can shop til you drop {at stores with an array of styles and ambiances}, get a mani/pedi, meet a friend for a drink, have dinner with your boo, and then go out for a night on the town — all in a few short blocks of your doorstep. A square mile, if you will.
